KCRW Summer Nights at the Hammer Museum with Ambar Lucid
July 7, 2022 • 6:30 pm PDT
KCRW and the Hammer Museum present four free nights of live music on the Hammer Courtyard! Ambar Lucid opens the series with her dreamy bedroom pop melodies and moody compositions radiating throughout the Hammer Courtyard. We’ll also be joined by KCRW DJs Nassir Nassirzadeh and Wydleflower, both of whom will be debuting their very first Summer Nights spinnage with KCRW. A happy hour with cash bar starts at 6:30pm, so come early and visit the Hammer’s galleries, which will be open until 9:00pm exhibiting Andrea Bowers, the first museum retrospective surveying more than two decades of the Los Angeles–based artist’s work.

ABOUT THE HAMMER
The Hammer Museum is part of the School of the Arts and Architecture at UCLA, and offers exhibitions and collections that span classic to contemporary art. The exhibitions, permanent collections, and nearly 300 public programs annually—including film screenings, lectures, symposia, readings, music performances, and workshops for families—are all free to the public.
EXHIBITION HIGHLIGHT
On view at the Hammer will be Andrea Bowers, the first museum retrospective surveying more than two decades of the Los Angeles–based artist’s work. Andrea Bowers has used her artistic practice as a political exercise, a narrative platform that she lends to movements of social and political activism.
