Aquarium of the Pacific’s Tropical Reef Cam with Explore.org | KCRW’s 24 Hours of Serenity

Let’s watch some fish friends! Containing 350,000 gallons of water and over 1,000 animals, the tropical reef habitat is the Aquarium of the Pacific’s largest exhibit. The reef represents the famous “blue corner” off the coast of Palau, an area considered to be one of the most beautiful and diverse oceanic sites in the world. In addition to the marine animals, you may even catch a diver on cam cleaning the exhibit or feeding the fish!

The nonprofit Aquarium of the Pacific aims to instill a sense of wonder, respect, and stewardship for the Pacific Ocean, its inhabitants, and ecosystems. As one of the largest aquariums in the nation, the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California, is home to over 12,000 animals in more than 100 exhibits, all of which represent the diversity of the Pacific Ocean.

Do LaB Presents Sound Bath with Torkom Ji | KCRW’s 24 Hours of Serenity

Do LaB presents a one-hour sound bath with electronic artist Torkom Ji. Torkom is a live electronics musician and master sound weaver from Los Angeles. Following the tradition of Pythagoras and many other sound mystics, Torkom has fused ethereal knowledge with synth techniques to produce a soundscape that can only be described as “transcendent”. All sounds are tuned to 432Hz.

Do LaB is an event design and production company that specializes in creating interactive environments, large scale art installations, stages, tents and production for music festivals. In addition to contracting build services to international festivals and events (Coachella, EDC, Boom, Symbiosis,  to name a few), they also produce their own festival each year called Lightning in a Bottle.

dublab Presents No Translation | KCRW’s 24 Hours of Serenity

dublab presents a one-hour set from ambient artist No Translation. No Translation is the ambient electronic solo project of Taiwanese/American musician and visual artist, Emma Palm. Her music is a meditation on the relative nature of personal connection to environments and memories that collages melodic synths, field recordings, and vocals.

dublab is a non-profit radio station based in Los Angeles. Since 1999, dublab has been broadcasting wide-spectrum music from around the world. The station’s programming has expanded to include the production of original art exhibits, films, events, record releases, and educational programs related to health, youth, development, education, and creative processes.
