Sunset Concerts: JOJO ABOT / Say She She

JOJO ABOT is a Ghanaian born, LA-based artist, healer, and musician whose work transcends expectation, challenging themes of identity, spirituality, and healing. Her music blends elements of Afrobeat, jazz, neo-soul, electronica, and reggae, creating a soundscape that is hypnotic and complex. You cannot put JOJO ABOT into a box; she is ever evolving and all-encompassing. Be ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery.

Say She She is a Brooklyn-based, retro-inspired funk band that draws influence from 1970s disco, soul, and pop music, as well as the powerful female-led groups of that era. Charming and operatic, you can’t help but fall under the spell of Say She She. With their groovy synths, sticky guitar licks, and heavenly harmonies, every song is an earworm, and they make it look easy.

Doors open at 6:00 pm. Concertgoers should arrive early to eat, drink, shop, and see current exhibitions. While relaxing in the Skirball’s hillside courtyard before the concert, enjoy a set by KCRW DJ Francesca Harding.
