Venice Family Clinic Art Walk

Since 1979, Venice Family Clinic—a health clinic that provides comprehensive care to vulnerable populations in LA—has turned to artists to host an annual art walk and auction. Early supporters included Larry Bell, John Baldessari, and Ed Ruscha, and the art walk has since grown into a key event for the clinic and art world alike. 

The 2021 art walk goes digital for the second year in a row due to the pandemic, and the auction is currently live and accepting bids. Proceeds go to support the clinic’s essential services. Over 200 LA-based artists are included in this year’s auction, which closes May 12 at noon PST. A series of artist talks (including one hosted by yours truly on May 6th) led by local gallerists and art critics accompany the auction.

“We are grateful to the community of artists and art lovers who support Venice Family Clinic Art Walk & Auction,” says Director of Special Events at Venice Family Clinic Erin Harnisch. “We are honored by their creativity and compassion, which helps us work toward health equity and provide quality health care to nearly 27,000 Angelenos each year, regardless of their ability to pay or immigration status.”
