The Elephant Queen

The 2019 IDA Documentary Screening Series brings this year’s most acclaimed documentaries to industry insiders and film lovers as a series of curated film screenings through the fall season! Join in a free screening of ‘The Elephant Queen’ on Thursday 9/26 at the The London West Hollywood at 7:30PM.

A genre-redefining film starring the ultimate leading lady, Athena, an elephant matriarch who will do everything in her power to protect her family when they are forced to leave their waterhole. Narrated by Chiwetel Ejiofor, this epic story of love, loss and coming home is a timely love letter to a species that could be gone from our planet in a generation.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with Directors Victoria Stone, Mark Deeble and composer Alex Heffes, moderated by Anne Thompson, Editor at Large at IndieWire, and a special reception.
