In his one-hour Tai Chi class, Dr. Ng will lead participants through three fundamental sets from his Swimming Body Method: Muscle-Tendon sequence to lubricate the joints, stretch the muscles, tendons, and ligaments, and open the body’s energy channels to smooth out tension and stagnation; Energy Gate sequence to enhance circulation of Qi (vital life force) and promote centering and grounding; as well as the Three Treasures sequence to restore harmony of mind, body, and breath.

An authority on mindfulness, meditation, movement, breath work, and energy training, Mike J. Ng has dedicated his life to the promotion of health, harmony, and vitality through the practice of Chinese martial arts and medicine. Dr. Ng earned his clinical Doctor of Acupuncture and Master of Science in Chinese Medicine degrees from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is a Corrective Exercise Specialist certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and has over 25 years of experience in movement and martial arts. He holds nine International All-Around Grand Championship titles, and in 2014, was inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
