Emerging LA company InHouse Theatre presents Steven Dietz’s PRIVATE EYES

Los Angeles — On Friday, May 27th, LA’s site-specific immersion-style theatre company, InHouse Theatre, will present Steven Dietz’s play Private Eyes. Directed by Rob Welsh, the play stars the Irish actress and television host Caroline Morahan (Once Upon a Time), Drew Rausch (Grey’s Anatomy), Mark Jude Sullivan (Pan Am), Lara Maria Silva (Murder in the First), Tim Redmond (A.C.T.), and Bryce McBratnie (Ground Floor). Through a marvelously constructed plot, Private Eyes takes audiences through multiple realities and plays within plays to examine the fluid nature of truth and self-deception. When a married couple (Morahan and Rausch) sign on to perform in a new play with a challenging director (Sullivan), questions arise about the strength of the couple’s fidelity and the honesty of their performances. The play unfolds through varying and sometimes conflicting narratives, told through live and recorded performances in various media.
InHouse Theatre Company specializes in site-specific and intimately performed theatre that confronts its audience with the realism of film in an immersive live theatre setting. As an emerging company, InHouse already has garnered significant attention for its previous productions of BetrayalLobby Hero and The Weir. Tickets for PRIVATE EYES ($35) are available at www.inhousetheatre.com for the extremely limited run (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from May 2th – June 5th). The secret location for the play (a venue in Miracle Mile) will be e-mailed to attendees before the performance. Further information at inhousetheatre.com.
