Songs of Conscience, Sounds of Freedom
Jan 15 - May 8(All times are in PDT)
Get ready for the GRAMMY Museum’s new exhibit, Songs of Conscience, Sounds of Freedom. Opening January 15, this new museum experience will take you through the story of American music as it wrestles with issues that run counter to the spirit of our nation. From the spirituals sung by enslaved people, to the songs that champion LGBTQ+ rights, and the Chicano Movement to the ongoing fight for racial justice with the Black Lives Matter movement. Spanning generations and genres, featured artists like H.E.R., Dave Specter, and Mickey Guyton tell the stories of music’s role as a catalyst for social change.
