Screening of Virgina Espino’s Documentary ‘No Más Bebés’

Join us for a screening of No Más Bebés, the story of 10 Mexican immigrant mothers who sued Los Angeles County, the State of California, and the U.S. government for being sterilized in their 1970s without their consent after having emergency Cesarean sections at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. This year marks the 40th anniversary of their landmark civil rights lawsuit-Madrigal v. Quilligan- asserting that a woman’s right to bear a child is guaranteed under the Supreme Court’s Roe v.
