Opportunity 2028 Pitch Day

As Los Angeles begins to prepare for the 2028 Olympics, Angelenos are asking: are we ready?
What we are really asking is: are we ready for the future?
With the emergence of new social, economic, and policy challenges – all exacerbated by technology – citizens of Los Angeles must face these challenges head-on in order to cultivate a city that thrives amidst the change and harnesses innovation to expand opportunity for all.
On March 9, Coro Southern California and XPRIZE will co-host the culmination of Coro’s “Opportunity 2028” week. On this day, from 1 – 4:30 PM, attendees will gather at XPRIZE’s office to meet with other civic and technology leaders and hear pitches from this year’s Coro Fellows on their proposed approaches to helping solve some of Los Angeles’ biggest challenges.
In the lead up to this event, Coro Fellows will engage in a week-long sprint, focusing on novel approaches to challenge identification, dissecting and pressure-testing their concepts, and meeting with civic leaders across the region to assure that their solutions are impactful and not redundant to existing work.
