Night of Ideas

Free

Night of Ideas is a worldwide event that celebrates the stream of ideas between countries, cultures, and generations. Each year, people around the globe come together to learn about and discuss the latest discoveries and prominent issues facing the world today.

Facing Our Time

NHM, in collaboration with the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles, will present this year’s Los Angeles program for the Night of Ideas.

This year’s theme, “Facing Our Time,” explores the challenges we face around ecological and climate change through the lenses of science, nature, and art.

Join us as we fill our Museum, inside and out, with intellectuals, researchers, musicians, and artists who will bring to life questions related to the nature of our current political, social and ecological moment, ways to effect change in response, and the power of imagination and creativity. It’s a night of engaging discussions, live music, pop-up performances, food, readings, art installations, screenings and much more, in celebration of the rich cultures of the U.S. and France.

Night of Ideas is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. Sign up for our e-mail to be notified when tickets become available and for other Night of Ideas announcements.
