NHM First Fridays 2024: March

Join the Natural History Museum this season for First Fridays! This season’s theme “From Feelings to Pheromones” explores the forces that shape the behaviors and sex lives of life forms large and small. From reproduction and propagation in the natural world to the sex life of other species, we’ll untangle the constructs of gender, feelings and pheromones. We’ll also explore some of the predicaments facing all species of life, including over- and under-population, and offer doable solutions that we can all participate in.

On March 1st, for Animal Love, evolutionary biologist Dr. Patricia LR Brenna and moderator Dr. Yewande Pearse discuss the mating habits of the animal Kingdom. The night will also feature musical performances live music from Jesse Boykins III and Annahstasia, a DJ set from Senay M. Kenfe, and a sensory lounge featuring LAVA (Los Angeles Video Artist), Femme House, ChocoVivo, Herbalaria, and more!
