Milton Nascimento and esperanza spalding

Join us for an intimate celebration of legendary Brazilian composer and musician Milton Nascimento by jazz bassist and composer esperanza spalding. The two are celebrating their 2024 collaborative LP Milton + esperanza, currently Grammy nominated for Best Jazz Vocal album. The event is both a tribute to Milton, with music by esperanza and mutual friends, and a fundraising event for LA at a time of community rebuilding.

Held on 2220 Arts’ main theater stage. KCRW DJ Wyldeflower and the renowned Mario Caldato Jr. will DJ in the lounge. Delicious Brazilian food by beloved Bossa Nova Restaurant will be available for purchase at the event.
