Kibō Nobori Children’s Day Festival

The first annual Kibō Nobori Children’s Day Festival arrives at the newly opened Terasaki Budokan in Little Tokyo. “Kodomo No Hi” means “Children’s Day” in Japan, which is a national holiday in celebration of children’s health, good fortune, and happiness. In partnership with co-mrkt, a project formed in response to the rise in anti-Asian violence and in support of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI), the event features a pop-up market packed with AAPI crafters, a beautiful koi flag inspired art installation by Faith-Ann Kiwa Young, and fun activities for children of all ages.

This free event takes place Saturday, May 7th from 10am-4pm, just before Mother’s Day.
