The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and KCRW present an on-air series featuring previously recorded live concerts from KCRW’s World Festival at the Hollywood Bowl.

Sigur Rós’ 2016 concert at the Bowl found the Icelandic experimentalists at their most intimate, playing music from across their career in stripped-down form. Toro y Moi moves through laid-back funk, smooth rock, and existential R&B. And Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith is a welcomed late addition to this great evening!

Created in partnership with the LA Phil, KCRW’s World Festival has been bringing an eclectic array of artists from around the world to the Hollywood Bowl stage for 20 years. Following the cancellation of the 2020 Bowl season due to COVID-19, the LA Phil and KCRW collaborate to present highlights of past World Festivals through an exclusive series of archival concerts to be broadcast on Sundays, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., from August 23 to October 11. Join us early at 6:00 p.m. for a 30-minute DJ set inspired by each concert.

Missing that fancy-box-seat-feeling this World Festival season? While the Bowl may be physically off-limits for now, you can still party like a VIP with gourmet concessions from our Fringe Benefits partners! If you’re on the west side, consider grabbing snacks and some wine to go from Andrew’s Cheese Shop in Santa Monica or Stanley’s Wet Goods in Culver City. For points further east, check out Larchmont Village Wine Spirits & CheeseSay Cheese in Los Feliz, or Mission Wines in Pasadena. (KCRW members get 10% off, exclusions apply)
