KCRW’s 4th Annual 24-Hour Radio Race
August 6, 2016 • 10:00 am - August 7, 2016 UTC+0
KCRW’s 4th Annual 24-Hour Radio Race is now open for registration!
The Radio Race is a whirlwind day of high-stakes radio making for producers of any experience level. You will have 24 HOURS to write, record, and edit a nonfiction radio story.
This year’s race will take place Saturday, August 6th to Sunday, August 7th.
As usual, we have prizes galore – including the opportunity to have your piece featured on KCRW’s “UnFictional” – but we encourage you to think bigger. The Radio Race is more than a just a zany competition: it’s an opportunity to produce the most original, the most moving, the most inventive, the most unexpected piece of “instant radio” anyone will hear in 2016.
Whether you’re a seasoned news producer, a scrappy freelancer, an experimental sound artist, or want to try radio for the first time, there’s room for everybody. You can join as an individual or as a group of your own devising.
