This year’s Summer Nights Finale is as grand as it gets. Grammy-winner LATROIT will perform House Classics live with DC6 Singers Collective, Nomvula Munnie from South Africa, & Special Guests, featuring songs from the new album ‘HISTORY of HOUSE’. It’s an evening of the Dance Music classics that defined a generation, reimagined from a global perspective, and performed live for the first time in Los Angeles! PLUS electrifying sets from KCRW DJs Jeremy Sole and Jason Bentley. This is all taking place under the stars on the lawn at Century Park. So throw on your grass-friendly party shoes and get ready to dance it out.

Grammy-winner LATROIT performs House Classics live with DC6 Singers Collective, Nomvula Munnie from South Africa, & Special Guests, featuring songs from the new album ‘HISTORY of HOUSE’.

The ‘HISTORY of HOUSE’ LP, originally conceived as a live tour in Australia, has evolved into a global collaborative recording project inspiring an entire album of reimagined House Music classics. Produced and mixed by Grammy-winner LATROIT, the album features stunning performances from 3x GRAMMY-winners Soweto Gospel Choir and Groove Terminator, along with contributions from emerging artists from South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana.

Released this summer on Black Coffee’s Gallo Records, Music is Fun and House of Latroit, the HISTORY of HOUSE’ LP combines powerful gospel vocals, global musical performances,   Afro House & Amapiano beats crossing cultures and generations. And now in Los Angeles, as LATROIT enlists Los Angeles gospel royalty DC6 Singers Collective for KCRW’s Summer Nights finale.

ABOUT LATROIT:

Dennis White (LATROIT) is a Grammy Award-winning, certified platinum-selling producer whose contribution to electronic music spans three decades. From his early start in the Detroit underground as a touring member of INNER CITY (known for hits like “Good Life” and “Big Fun”) to the influential international successes “Happy People” (charted by Fatboy Slim as one of the top 10 songs of the 2000s) and “I Like That,” to his Grammy-winning remix for Depeche Mode in 2018, White’s music holds history in one hand and the future in the other.
