Jazz in the Pines

Jazz In The Pines returns from July 5 through July 17 and builds a bridge between the longtime professionals and the next generation of jazz artists. The new Jazz In The Pines restores the original vision of festival co-founder Marshall Hawkins, the legendary bassist, beloved teacher, and walking treasure trove of jazz history.

Jazz In The Pines will include public performances, an “In Conversation” series with the artists, open masterclasses, and special events. The new Jazz In The Pines incorporates the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program Jazz Workshop for ages 14 to 18, giving these young musicians a chance to play alongside some of the great practitioners of contemporary jazz.
