Gallery Weekend Los Angeles

Free

This weekend, Gallery Association Los Angeles — a pandemic-era gallery coalition producing weekly online exhibitions — hosts the first annual Gallery Weekend Los Angeles. The event, which kicks off Wednesday, July 28, is billed as “an annual summer moment to make art more accessible while celebrating the experience of viewing art in-person once again.”

Over 70 local galleries and institutions are featured on an interactive map, where visitors can plan their route and see what’s on view. Each of the event days highlight a different region of LA’s art scene (west, north, central, and east), giving an avid attendee a game plan for tackling the mammoth task of visiting 70 galleries in four days. In addition to viewing art, you can also check out dozens of other events being hosted at participating galleries including artists talks, book signings, receptions, and performances.
