Frieze Los Angeles

Buy Tickets

Frieze Los Angeles, which had been postponed due to COVID-19, is back this year in a new location. Previously held at Paramount Studios, Frieze’s new location will be in a tent adjacent to the Beverly Hills Hilton, a larger space than the previous one. With 100 participating international galleries, visitors can expect a typical clean-white-walled international art fair experience.

Still, Frieze makes efforts to celebrate Los Angeles and its particular culture with special exhibitions and sections. The Focus LA portion of the fair will feature LA galleries that have been operating for 15 years or less, and will include locals like Parker Gallery, Stanley’s, and Bel Ami. Special projects by Isabel Yellin, Glen Kaino, Beatriz Cortez, and other artists (many LA-based) will be installed in and around the fair tent.

BIPOC Exchange, an initiative curated by artist Tanya Aguiñiga, will take place across the street from the main fair and will include a series of talks, events, and performances by BIPOC-led LA-based collectives who focus on community. Participants include LA Poverty Department, Classroom of Compassion, and People’s Pottery Project — and, unlike the main fair tent, the BIPOC exchange is free to the public. Tickets to the main fair range from $35 to $95 and are available here.
