The newest film from actor/writer/director Mike White, who serves all three functions in this comedy-drama that’s a bird’s eye view of insecurity. Status features a career peak performance from Ben Stiller as Brad Sloan, a successful but driven executive at a non-profit who’s in a happy long-term marriage and is about to send his teenaged son to college. Brad has enough to make any man happyhis only problem is that all of his college friends have more. Jenna Fischer and Austin Abrams play his wife and son, and his wildly accomplished friendsall filmed with adoring beams of light bouncing off their hair and teeth—are Jemaine Clement, Michael Sheen, Luke Wilson, and White. After the screening, writer/director White returns to the Bing Theater for his second conversation of the year.

Tickets are for general, unreserved seating. Ticketed guests must be in their seats 15 minutes prior to the advertised start time or seats may be released. Reservations do not guarantee entry, even with a ticket in hand. Entry is first come, first served, so please arrive early. Program and guest participation subject to change or cancellation without prior notice. Tickets are nontransferable and can only be picked up by the individual who purchased or reserved them.
