FAQ
About Night on Broadway
Night on Broadway is a free arts and music festival produced in celebration of Council member José Huizar’s Bringing Back Broadway economic development initiative. Like never before, Night on Broadway awakens beautiful historic theatres and the blocks between them along the Broadway corridor in Downtown Los Angeles. L.A. is a mecca for creative talent of all kinds, and Night on Broadway is where it all shines – right in the heart of entertainment’s birthplace in Los Angeles. From emerging musical acts to national stars, artists to acrobats, and fashion designers to food trucks, Night on Broadway is all about the City of Angels.

Night on Broadway takes place on Broadway in DTLA between 2nd Street and Olympic which is closed to traffic for the event. Night on Broadway focuses on short-form programming (acts are usually 20-30 minutes each, sometimes repeating several times throughout the night) in the gorgeous, historic Broadway theatres, with all kinds of interactive art and experiences up and down the street between theatre venues. There will also be an outdoor festival stage with musical acts. Attendees get to meander from venue to venue and experience to experience throughout this amazing Night on Broadway.

Parking
We really think you shouldn’t. We want you to please take transit, walk and / or ride your bike. Night on Broadway is a stone’s throw from the Red Line Pershing Square station and central to all DTLA transit. Those who drive should expect HEAVY traffic and plan arrival / departure times accordingly. When you hit gridlock, try deep breathing and remember we suggested alternate ways of getting here.

For those who do decide to drive, parking is available at the City’s Pershing Square Parking Garage at posted hourly rates. A flat rate of $7 is available for vehicles entering after 5pm, and exiting before 2am. Surface lots and garages in the area offer varying commercial prices. Special event flat-rates are available for Night on Broadway at area Joe’s, City Center, and Paragon Parking lots in the area.

Tickets?
No. This is a free and non ticketed event.

Food
Broadway’s restaurants and bars make themselves a big part of Night on Broadway, offering menu specials and more. Additionally, Night on Broadway will have dozens of food trucks and vendors located throughout the event area, so you can chow down on whatever you crave!

Bars
Alcohol will be available for purchase in select venues, but is prohibited on the street.

Kids
Yes. Night on Broadway is for all ages – there will be a kids’ zone and lots of fun activities for the small humans we love so much. Kids love looking around, interacting with the art and checking out the gorgeous historic theatres. And, kids of all ages love a Ferris wheel, which will be right in the middle of Broadway to offer a perch-view above Downtown like you’ve never seen before. We recommend baby-wearing for small children, as navigating the crowds with a stroller is tough, even for the most seasoned pros. Some acts may not be appropriate for all ages, mostly for language. Those that require parental awareness will be marked on the venue map.
