Bon Entendeur

Bon Entendeur is the musical duo of French virtuosos Arnaud Bonet and Pierre Della Monica. Their signature is an illuminating blend of disco, French house, and synthwave mixed with contemporary elements and retro samples.

Bon Entendeur first came on the scene releasing mixtapes backed voiceovers from political speeches and film monologues with their effervescent melodic productions. The duo quickly became an amplifier of Francophone culture, with their platinum-certified debut album Aller-Retour (2019) re-envisioning 70s French classics while their gold-certified sophomore album Minuit (2021) drew on 80s electro-pop.

In the years since, Bon Entendeur’s sonic influences have broadened to celebrate the plurality of world music. Vividly transportive, Bon Entendeur’s music lends itself to themes surrounding escapism and idealism as the duo soundtrack sunsoaked beaches and moonlit dancefloors. In 2024, Bon Entendeur released their third studio album Rivages, which was inspired by the solar energy of the Mediterranean Sea and the duo’s experiences from the French Riviera to Rome and Cairo. The album expanded the duo’s palette with Latin and North African sounds while staying rooted in their vintage aesthetic.

Bon Entendeur’s North American Rivages Tour will see the duo headline venues throughout New York, Chicago, DC, Miami, Denver, Los Angeles, and San Francisco before concluding at CRSSD Festival.
