Artists Addressing Homelessness

RSVP

USC Arts in Action is a new program supporting arts activities that facilitate positive social change within the communities of Los Angeles. This first event will apply the inspiring, inclusive, and transformative power of music toward L.A.’s most pressing crisis: homelessness.

Performances and conversation will showcase a weeklong collaboration between USC musicians, including students from the USC Thornton School of Music, and the Urban Voices Project, a choir comprised of artists and performers from Skid Row. The experience will be guided by London-based beat maker Guy Wampa and multi-instrumentalist Sigrun Griffiths, who have led similar partnerships in England. Students from the USC Roski School of Art and Design will present new work in conjunction with the performance.
