The 2019 IDA Documentary Screening Series brings this year’s most acclaimed documentaries to industry insiders and film lovers as a series of curated film screenings through the fall season! Join us for a free screening of ‘American Factory’ on Friday Nov. 1 at the Landmark Theater at 7:30PM.

‘American Factory’ takes a dive into a post-industrial Ohio, where a Chinese billionaire opens a new factory in the husk of an abandoned General Motors plant and hires two thousand blue-collar Americans. Early days of hope and optimism give way to setbacks as high-tech China clashes with working-class America.

The free screening will be followed by a moderated post-film conversation with Director Julia Reichert, moderated by Anne Thompson, Editor at Large at IndieWire.
