KCRW’s Good Food Pie Contest 2016

DEADLINE TO ENTER HAS PASSED

Join KCRW for the Good Food Pie Contest! The celebrated event is back, taking place this year on Sunday, October 2nd at Royce Quad, between Royce Hall and Powell Library.

For the eighth year in a row, home cooks and professionals alike will compete side-by-side to woo the judges. Once again, the judges will be a collection of LA’s finest chefs and food writers — armed with a fork and on the hunt for Best in Show. Check out the list of judges here!

Enter a pie, cheer on the competitors, visit the Fowler galleries or just come by and enjoy a slice. Good Food host Evan Kleiman will preside over the afternoon pie festivities which will include music by KCRW DJ Garth Trinidad, pie tasting, food trucks, kids’ activities, an artisan marketplace and more. Bring sunscreen, a blanket and relax in the afternoon sun while spending the day with KCRW!

Winners of this year’s Best in Show & Best Crust will receive Breville Smart Ovens. Plus, first in each of the eight categories will get Breville Panini Presses. Second and third place winners all get prizes and gift bags too! PLUS first prize winner of the Sweet Potato Pie category will receive two tickets to the LA Premiere of “Almost Christmas” on November 3rd.
