Protoje

There is an exciting resurgence of conscious, organic music in Jamaica and industry experts and observers agree that Protoje is playing an important role in what is becoming known as the “Reggae Revival.”

Leading the militant band — The Indiggnation — this powerful songwriter and philosophical thinker articulates the righteous anger of an emerging generation. Protoje reports for duty, re-establishing the standard for the decaying art of socially responsible, mentally stimulating lyricism.

After successfully releasing two albums “The Seven Year Itch” and “The 8 Year Affair” which spawned Rasta Love ft. Ky-Mani Marley and Kingston Be Wise; which was featured in the video game Grand Theft Auto; Protoje releases his third studio album titled “Ancient Future.”

Raging Fyah

Regarded as one of Jamaica’s most promising young acts, the band Raging Fyah makes music that is tethered to their island’s enduring, much emulated roots rock reggae tradition yet is distinguished by an expansive vision that propels their musical journey forward. The band received critical acclaim for the intricate harmonies, nuanced musicianship and impressive songwriting skills showcased on their previous self-released albums, “Judgement Day” (2011) and “Destiny” (2014), while songs such as the redemptive “Nah Look Back” and the spiritually enriching “Jah Glory” earned comparisons to legendary reggae outfits including England’s Aswad and Steel Pulse, and Jamaica’s beloved Third World.
