Homegrown: The Record Company

Buy Tickets

Founded in 2011 by Chris Vos (guitar, lead vocals, harmonica), Alex Stiff (bass, guitar, vocals) and Marc Cazorla (drums, piano, vocals), The Record Company immediately took their hometown by storm, hailed byL.A. Weekly for “making bluesy music that would sound more at home in a sweaty, backwoods Mississippi juke joint.” Known as a unique and unstoppable live act, The Record Company have rocked countless headline shows, festivals, and radio concerts, while sharing international stages and spotlights with such luminaries as B.B. King, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Buddy Guy, Charles Bradley, and Social Distortion, plus countless others. Their set at this year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival prompted Rolling Stone Country to name it among the event’s “5 Best Country and Americana Moments.”  “Off The Ground” — the lead single from their acclaimed debut album, Give It Back To You— is fast shaping up as a major breakthrough, having recently spent two consecutive weeks as the No. 1 track at Triple A radio outlets nationwide. Rolling Stone declared The Record Company to be among “10 New Artists You Need To Know,” hailing “their stomping debut album” while rightfully noting, “It would be unfair to label the lean, deliberate three-piece as a simple blues-rock band.” Before they head out on their largest U.S. headlining tour to date, which includes a stop at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on Nov. 17, the GRAMMY Museum welcomes The Record Company to the Clive Davis Theater for an intimate conversation on their rising career and Los Angeles roots, moderated by Scott Goldman, Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares. The conversation will be followed by a performance.
