If Our Bodies Could Talk: A KCRW Conversation

If Our Bodies Could Talk: A KCRW Conversation
Wednesday, August 22, 2018
The LA LGBT Center’s Renberg Theatre
7:00p Doors, 7:30p Program and Reception to follow

Where does knowledge about our bodies come from? Join us for an evening of personal storytelling and intimate interviews where we explore the forces of history, society and identity that shape our health.

This event is a celebration of our latest podcast Bodies, created by Allison Behringer with support from KCRW’s Independent Producer Project. Each episode of the documentary series begins as a medical mystery. But once you peel back the layers, more questions emerge.

The evening will be hosted by KCRW’s Madeleine Brand. Guests include Bodies host Allison Behringer, Birth Control Your Own Adventure filmmaker Sindha Agha, Doing Harm author Maya Dusenbery, Cedars-Sinai medical doctor Jessica L. Chan and Bitchface podcast creators Phoebe Unter and Nicole Kelly.

** A warning that this show includes some pretty intimate descriptions of sex, and may not be appropriate for everyone.**
