AIDS Walk Los Angeles

Founded in 1985, AIDS Walk Los Angeles is the world’s first cause-based fundraising
walk. AWLA has raised over $88 million in the fight against HIV/AIDS, with funds
supporting APLA Health’s prevention, care and advocacy programs. Thousands of
patients, families, activists and allies participate annually as team members or as
individuals. This is a big year in the movement to make AIDS history as we display
our new rallying cry, “AIDS has met its march.”

APLA Health was founded in 1983 with the singular goal of ending the HIV/AIDS
epidemic in Los Angeles County. We are a nonprofit health center providing
culturally-competent care for underserved communities, including medical, dental,
and mental healthcare, HIV specialty care and prevention, PrEP counseling and
management, and health education.
