Event Details

On Tuesday, March 26th, join KCRW and the LA Review of Books for an evening of conversation with Michael Silverblatt and author Jamaica Kincaid. Michael Silverblatt, KCRW's host of Bookworm, will sit down with Kincaid to discuss her latest novel, See Now Then.
This will be a candid conversation about Jamaica Kincaid's new novel, See Now Then, which presents an intense portrait of an inter-ethnic marriage. The ambiguities of race and family provide a field-day for a writer of Kincaid's integrity, honesty, and ferocity. The dissolution of this fictional marriage provides a focus for a conversation about family bonds, interracial conflict and writing fiction.
The conversation will be followed by a Q&A and book signing.

The evening will take place at New Roads School's Ann and Jerry Moss Theater: a brand new, state of the art theater located on the New Roads campus in Santa Monica.

KCRW’s UpClose event series features KCRW on-air personalities in lively and compelling conversations with some of the leading figures in film, art, politics, literature and pop-culture. Created in 2010, each UpClose event takes place before a live audience.
