KCRW is proud to partner with Zócalo Public Square to present Big Ideas around town. On Tuesday, November 13, KCRW and Zócalo Public Square present “What Do We Lose If We Don’t Go to Space?” at the Petersen Automotive Museum. America rejoiced when the Mars Curiosity rover landed, but budget cuts and policy changes have killed off most of our spaceflight dreams. What does this mean for our society—and for the next generation of innovators and educators? A panel of aerospace experts visits Zócalo to discuss what’s at stake if America stops aiming for the stars. This event is free and open to the public.
